A Year End Review and Lots of News

2013 has been an exciting year for Please B Seated. We only launched this spring and already have been  part of countless weddings, corporate events, fund raisers, and so much more. We have reconnected with clients our staff has known for years and established new relationships with colleagues, all while maintaining our goal of sourcing unique items delivered with an emphasis on service.

Our work hasn’t gone unnoticed. We’re so proud of the attention our new company has received. Some of our recent press below:

Please B Seated principal, John Dawson, discussed how the industry has changed in 30 years, and the importance of business connections in the November / December issue of Special Events Magazine. “Success in any business is hard work,” he says. “If you love what you do, it makes it so much easier.”

Prior to John’s profile the launch of  Please B Seated was also mentioned in Special Events Magazine along with a mention of the company’s hire of Diane McDonald, our event director.

In November, Diane was profiled on the International Special Events Society (ISES) New York Metro Chapter website. “Diane’s value to caterers goes beyond new ideas in equipment. Often, it’s just her experience that makes the difference.  Sometimes a question like, ‘What did you want to pour the coffee into?’ is the most important question a rental salesperson can ask.  Events have a lot of moving parts, and Diane considers it her job to make sure her clients don’t overlook anything,” the society wrote.

Our rentals had some time in the spotlight too. Please B Seated rentals were featured in Top of the Garden’s holiday ad in Biz Bash’s Fall issue (pg 195). (We’re a preferred partner of the Midtown event space.)  See the full photo shoot here. And we were among a group of event rental companies with items in the Spring / Summer 2014 issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style.

But it’s comments like this one from Ro Howe of Barraud Caterers that really make our day.

“OK Chaps – I am officially in love with you! Get used to it! What do you expect when you hang & wrap all the linens in a hanging box – even the work cloths; you wrap all the china goods in double thick foam padding; you seal the glass crates in sturdy plastic & the coup de grace was the Cadco oven, beautifully new/clean, sitting on its very own rolling rack with sheet trays beneath for use as easy storage during service & the cherry on top – that your delivery guy TESTED the oven to make sure that the circuit could handle the power & that it was in good working order! OMG I am more than in love – I am in adoration!”

Happy New Year! It has been a pleasure working with all of our clients in 2013. We look forward to an eventful 2014!
